National History Day in the Classroom

Teacher Workshops

Welcome educators!  You are the backbone of the National History Day process and we are here to support you in any possible way.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to our State Coordinator or one of our Teacher Ambassadors with any questions or assistance you might have.  We will keep this page up to date with information as we obtain it!

Our teacher workshops are designed for new and veteran NHD teachers.  Please join us for one of these amazing workshops to discuss the 2020 theme, discuss research avenues, hear from students who have taken projects to the national competition, and learn how to take your student's projects to the next level!  Our first Teacher Workshop will be on Saturday September 21, 2019 at the SRP Heritage Center from 8:30-noon, brunch will be served.  Please email strepanier@azhs.gov to sign up for this workshop.

All participants will receive continuing education credits!

This year's theme is Breaking Barriers in History.  There is some great information  on the theme in the annual theme book.
